Southern Pecan Pie
If you had to choose between your favorite pie recipes to prepare, I guarantee this pie will soon be in the number one spot.
Makes: 6 servings
Total Prep Time: 1 hour
Ingredients:
• 1, 9 inch premade pie crust
• 1 ½ cups of pecans, chopped
• 3 eggs, beaten
• ½ cup of white sugar
• 3 Tbsp. of butter, melted
• 1 cup of dark corn syrup
• ¼ tsp. of powdered cinnamon
• 1 tsp. of pure vanilla
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the pie crust onto a baking sheet and set aside.
2. Prepare the filling. In a bowl, add in the beaten eggs, white sugar, melted butter, dark corn syrup, powdered cinnamon and pure vanilla. Stir well until mixed.
3. Sprinkle the chopped pecans into the bottom of the pie crust. Pour the filling over the top.
4. Place into the oven to bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
5. Remove and cool for 20 minutes before serving.
